Management Accountant
Job Description
To maintain the computerised books of account for the company and its associates, and to produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for all businesses.
Detailed Responsibilities
For all businesses:
- Debtors Ledger - invoicing and credit control
- Suppliers Ledger - invoicing and supplier payments
- Bank accounts - entries and reconciliations
- Payroll
- Petty cash
- Invoicing inter-company Management Charges
- Nominal Ledger - journal entries
- Fixed Assets - depreciation
- Inter-company accounts - reconciliations
- Monthly management reports
- Year end accounts schedules
- Liaison with external accountant
Profile
- A qualified accountant
- Practical experience of legal accounting procedures
- Ideally experience of AlphaLaw, or similar legal software
- Experience of operating payroll software and PAYE / Nat Ins procedures
- Extensive Excel spreadsheet experience
